What is Insurance ?

What is the importance of insurance?

Insurance is important because it protects a person or entity from extreme financial loss or responsibility due to an unfortunate emergency, accident or negative unforeseen event. Insurance allows individuals and businesses to have peace of mind.

Is automobile insurance necessary?

Many States requires automobile owner to purchase minimum insurance coverage. However, this minimum coverage is usually not enough to protect an auto owner from losses they may incur due to an auto accident. It is important to contact a licensed experience insurance agent for the proper coverage.

What types of insurance should a business have?

Each business is unique and may require specific insurance policies. However, there are 3 basic policies that all business should consider.

When should you start shopping around for new insurance?

At least 2 months in advance of the expiration date of current policies. If starting a business; before you start to operate

How much should I insure my property for?

The amount you insure your property for should reflect the amount it would take to rebuild it also called replacement value.

How do I save money on home insurance?

1. Look for private insurance if you are in a government plan
2. If you live in a high-risk area — say, one that is especially vulnerable to coastal storms, fires, or crime speak to one of our insurance agent or company representative to help assist you with finding a company designed to take on risk for that specific area or hazard and might offer better rates.
3. Improve your home security by adding fire and burglar alarms, smoke detectors and deadbolt locks.
4. Make your home more disaster resistant
Find out from one of our insurance agent or company representative what steps you can take to make your home more resistant to windstorms and other natural disasters. You may be able to save on your premiums by adding storm shutters, reinforcing your roof or buying stronger roofing materials. Older homes can be retrofitted to make them better able to withstand earthquakes. In addition, consider modernizing your heating, plumbing and electrical systems to reduce the risk of fire and water damage.
